Who can resist it? I have cravings from time to time! Sweet bars, cakes, donuts, brownies, mousse, ice cream, shakes, hot drinks, and cold drinks, in melted or frozen forms!
The topic of this sweet treat is vast. In my article, I’ll first highlight general aspects. Secondly, I’ll address the title topic for mood and productivity. Much of my post content will be my thoughts and experiences. Do refer to research conducted for facts.

General aspects
Being careful
In your personal life, you have to make important decisions. Choose your habits carefully. Embrace those that are conducive to success and wellness.
While being a true relish, over-consumption often leads to obesity and sugar-related illness. However, luckily, you could strike a reasonable balance between enjoying and watching your health.
You can control your cravings if you’re determined. There are some tips that I practice. I found them helpful and effective.
These are some of my ideas, that could be of help to you:
- Keeping very little or no sweets at home helps lower consumption.
- Opting for semi-sweet, dark, or bitter versions, could be a better alternative.
- Eating more juicy fruits instead, using interesting variations of salads and smoothies for fun!
- Maintaining a balanced diet helps provide all the components for complete nutrition.
- Drinking plenty of water.
- Having a daily physically active lifestyle, and sticking to it.
- Join a health club, and surround yourself with health-conscious friends. This may create an environment for conducive peer pressure.
- Don’t be too strict on yourself! Do indulge a little bit occasionally, and get back to healthy habits.

Productivity aspects
Chocolate productivity increase
When looking for research carried out to boost productivity levels, it was hard to find much info. I, however, came across an article dating quite a few years. It does seem to support the benefits.
‘Study Says Snacking on Dark Chocolate at Work Increases Your Productivity’ – glamour.com
Given the scarcity of info, I didn’t find much to support the third idea. I’ll direct you to another of my posts. Read to see how coffee can boost productivity.
