  3. Polishing
  4. Promotion
  5. Progress

First, I listed the blog solutions.  Then I listed the 6 different parts that include them.  Now, I’ll break down the solutions and group them under the 6 parts for better illustration purposes.

Creation

Starting a blog is often an initial step.  It can also require certain similar tasks if you ever migrate to another platform or web host.  However, it’s a one-off task for most bloggers if they never move.

Solutions:

  • WordPress
  • Web hosting
  • Domain
  • Plugins

There are various platforms you can choose from.  However, for blogging, WordPress is the best.  You can choose from managed or self-hosting.

Managed CMS is often seen as more convenient.  However, if you’re new, I suggest you consider carefully.  I started a hobby blog on a managed platform.  I soon saw the limitations that come with it.

Choose self hosting from the start, as far as possible.  It will pay off in the long term.  Unless your aim is purely being a hobbyist, it’s best to go for self hosted WordPress.org.

Polishing

Once you have your site set up, and also SEO plugins and other tools installed, start writing.  The crucial blog content creation format is articles.  It’s the core of it, aside from other formats, such as images and videos.

Solutions:

  • Proofread
  • Spell check
  • Grammar check

Proofreading is non-negotiable if you’re aiming for high-quality content.  Spell checking and grammar checking go with it.  You can do it all yourself, or find help.

I use an automated checker.  I also come back to my content hours or even days later to re-read it.  Doing so with fresh eyes, I spot any mistakes easier.

When it comes to blog writing solutions, you can go for your original work, use AI tools, or find a freelancer.  I always prefer my original writing.  However, to work smarter, I use different apps to support me.

Promotion

After publishing your new article, promote it.  It’s crucial to put it in front of as many readers as possible.  I also mean the right audience readers for your target niche.

Solutions:

  • Email Marketing
  • Social Media
  • Paid Ads

Email Marketing is the best, as you own your email list.  Organic reach on social media is unpredictable.  However, be present on the right platforms for your niche.  If it suits your strategy, running paid ads can be worthwhile.

Progress

Publishing post after post doesn’t automatically drive desired results.  You want to measure performance.  This is best achieved through feedback, including platform insights.

Solutions:

  • Google Analytics
  • Google Search Console
  • More available tools

I use Google Analytics, Search Console, and Jetpack.  The first 2 are free, whereas Jetpack comes with my current plan.  There are others available that you can consider if you prefer something different.  However, you don’t want to miss out on these free Google tools.

Blog solutions exist for all stages of blogging.  Creation stage, writing, post-publish, they’re all relevant.  There’s also a wide range of solutions available.

Conclusion

I listed blog solutions, breaking them down into different parts or stages of the activity.  Choose yours strategically, considering your goals.
