The articles that I’ll be linking to are like guides.  Each one covers a specific topic.  They’re handy for beginners, as well as any level of experience wishing to review goals.

Still relevant

Blogs still exist.  Although the landscape changes ongoingly, they’re relevant.  Along with video, articles are a thing.

Before starting any activity, it’s essential to evaluate its relevance.  I must say, while I continue blogging, I also vlog.  Consider diversifying your content formats while avoiding burnout.

Solutions

Some solutions support your site, technically.  Others support your content writing.  These include your platform, domain, and other such tools.  Content creation also has its set of supportive tools.

I chose the easy way to set up a site through a managed platform.  However, self-hosting is best.  I’ve also had experience with another site and self-hosting.

Essentials

Don’t underestimate the essentials.  Without them, your blogging journey won’t be smooth.  These include your blog security and compliance.

While the essentials are must-haves, they’re not complicated to achieve.  For example, you can use professional templates for your legal pages.  Even adding plugin support for site security.  There’s no reason to find these complicated.

Foundations

The foundations are also supportive.  Web hosting is crucial, though.  Your choice of web host affects your blog in many ways.  Site speed is often an important one to consider proactively.

With my managed platform, I don’t spend time choosing which providers I want.  However, for my self-hosted site, I learned much.  Having researched before starting it, I saw the different options and their respective gains.

Build trust

Once your blog is set up, you start content creation.  For long-term successful results, work on building trust.  The online world is more than overcrowded.  Give visitors reasons to believe in your articles.

To start with, EEAT is crucial.  Your Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness is crucial.  Build each gradually and genuinely for long-term results.

Repeat visitors

You want to have visitors, and especially repeat visitors.  You also want them to read your articles fully, and click through to more pages.  What you don’t want is high bounce rates.

I interlink to my other articles, and to my social media channels.  Most importantly, I share opt-ins to my newsletter.  The WordPress Reader is also great for following.

UX

User Experience is most important.  To encourage good time on site and repeat visitors, ensure a smooth experience.

Use tools to guide you.  For free, you can use Google’s PageSpeed Insight.  There are also other options to choose from.

Monetization examples

Monetization is for side-hustlers and full-time bloggers.  Hobbyists often aren’t interested in it.  There are a range of ways to go about it.

I started my blog as a hobby.  After 1 year, a brand reached out, asking me to work with them.  My side hustle started after that.

Stay on topic

Staying on topic is a valuable tip.  Don’t chase your readers away by going off subject.  Plan your content carefully.

My number 1 tip is to use an outline.  Know what you plan to share.  Research your niche audience’s pain points.

Low-hanging fruits

Low-hanging fruit is rather easier to accomplish.  They’re also handy, bringing results.  Find them and tackle them.

I save time by updating older articles, for example.  It’s great for my site’s freshness.  My readers gain from better content.

Beginners learn

Beginners learn, and so do experienced bloggers.  Doing so never ends.  It’s crucial to stay informed of new changes in the online world.

I learned a lot from blogging.  Having a business degree supports me.  However, blogging is often seen as an informal activity.  There’s always so much to find out from experience.

Ideas to ponder

Handy ideas to ponder about?  Planning to start a new blog, or even build on an existing one, you need ideas to refine and choose from.

I chose self-improvement at first.  However, it was rather vast.  I later niched down to specifically bloggers and digital solopreneurs.

Fun and hard tasks

Fun or hard, what’s article creation like?  Before deciding to go for it, measure your passion for blogging.  It saves time and other resources.

I’ve always published 1 new article every week.  I also updated the older ones each month.  Blogging consistently for 7 years, I value my side-hustle seriously.

In the end, it’s either a passion or not.  For some, blogging is worthwhile, while for others it’s not.  If it’s right for you, go for it wholeheartedly.

Conclusion

My blogging guides list is complete.  I highlighted and linked to my other articles.  If you find anything that you want to find out more about, you might want to access the articles.
