While previously using Adobe, I found that the latter lacks what I’m looking for. I wanted an alternative, with features to suit my current needs and at a better price. Do you use PDF? Read my blog post for more…

This is a product review of the PDFelement Pro, which I’m using on a one-month free trial basis. As a blogger, I spend much of my time following online courses. I now find myself with tons of ebooks and hate printouts, for all the clutter that they bring! I need to annotate all online resources directly from my laptop, convert my Word documents to PDF and to explore a variety of other features as well.
Overview
You can edit, convert, protect, annotate, use optical character recognition (OCR) for your PDF files. It works on Windows and Mac operating systems.
Features
While there are many ways to use it, the main features are:
- Edit PDFs like a Word document.
- Add annotation and notes to documents.
- Use advanced OCR to make scanned files editable.
- Create, fill and sign forms in just a few clicks.
- Extract data from forms and scanned documents.
- Protect documents with passwords, redaction tools and more.

PDF Annotator
This feature provides a quick and useful means for circulating ideas and notes among colleagues. Are you part of an organization which requires teams to collaborate in a timely and well-coordinated manner? The PDF Annotator will surely help to achieve results!
The annotator is also used by individuals who want to note down their thoughts on resources, for later use. I find that this is a great way for me to work on the courses while saving paper and time! I also like the quality of work I obtain from the software.
Batch Process
This feature is used for various PDF conversions, data extraction, Bates numbering and more. These are very helpful functions, especially for enterprises and other types of organizations, that handle a large number of documents and need to sort them out quickly and easily.
The batch Word to PDF converter sounds very interesting because Word documents are so widely used and secondly, to be able to send the documents to other people, conversion to PDF is generally essential for everyone!

Pricing
Based on what I currently see on the official website (at the time of writing this post), this best seller includes advanced features with OCR and is normally priced as from $159 (depending on the number of PCs). For an additional special discount, please click here (use only this link for the special price)!!!

As a student/teacher you are invited to apply for an ‘educational offer’ of 40% off. Institutions should contact the sales team for more information about discounts. Individuals use the PDFelement at $79 (ideal for personal use).
While doing a product review, it’s inevitable that I include the pros and cons of what I see of the PDFelement Pro…
Pros:
- A variety of useful features.
- Advanced OCR.
- Affordable prices, compared to Adobe.
- They promise you ‘a 100% clean software, 30-day money back guarantee and a rapid service’ (as on the official website).
Cons:
- You have to do with a watermark, while on the free trial period/until you upgrade.
- You might actually not use all the features included, but instead only one or a few of them.
