Consistency, topic ideas, and content quality
You could ask yourself if content creation is worth time and effort. In content marketing, it’s crucial. However, the approach you choose for yourself counts towards your results. It’s vital to start with a strategy and remain consistent.
On my blog, I share a lot about productivity and working smarter for content creators. It’s something I do daily, on weekdays. Consistency counts, and I’ve always posted a new article a week. Nowadays, I’ve set myself a goal of 3 reels a week, which is also achievable for me.
Video skills, camera shyness, and negativity
Shy to speak on camera? Try a faceless account. Showing your face, and better still, speaking works. However, online brands also work, not just personal brands.
My reels are nowadays full of energetic music. I don’t normally speak in the b-rolls, and they last only 5 to 7 seconds. However, I’ve done voice-overs and speaking in the past. Speaking videos are best, especially if they’re longer ones. Know your goal and plan the length accordingly.
Negative comments happen, especially on social media. However, accept any helpful feedback that comes from your real audience. Ignore the ones that are disrespectful and even block them. Use helpful feedback to improve.

Tech knowledge and compliance
With vlogging, you can’t avoid technology. It’s an ever-evolving environment. The equipment you use, social media platform algorithms, and much more. Equipment can be expensive, however, start with your smartphone as I do.
Compliance is another area where many content creators ask questions. You don’t have to be an expert at it. For the legal stuff, many get started with affordable, professional templates.
Is vlogging right for you?
Ever thought about who vlogging is for? It’s often associated with extroversion. However, introverts can work on it successfully too.
As an ambivert, I have a mixture of both and enjoy vlogging. My blog remains my primary platform. Social media and email support me in diversifying my traffic sources.

Some great tips as usual. I always put out my blog on a Wednesday evening at about 7:30. I don’t know, but I would hope that my regular readers tune in because they know it is coming. YouTubers that I follow that promise to put out content say, every Friday, and some weeks don’t, just causes disappointment for me, so I guess my readers would feel the same.
