Valentine’s Day is special. Not that love is celebrated only on that particular day of the year but it should be done so all year round. The date is on the 14th of February, every year. Read my blog post to find ideas for activities that you can enjoy while staying at home.
My article focuses on indoor activities, as with the current lockdown in many countries (at the time of writing this blog post), staying at home is a must for many (depending on the country you’re in). Some countries are already out of the lockdown, such as the one that I’m in, but we all still need to practice proper social distancing!
See a list of 7 suggested things to do on Valentine’s Day at home:
1. Watch romantic movies
Revisit cherished memories together. Watch a great movie that you did when you first met. Relive those precious moments.
2. Sing songs together
Have a karaoke session, singing your favourite songs. Make a playlist of your chosen songs and best artists in advance. Songs are great in bringing back special memories.
3. Special brunch
Organise a brunch by having healthy, yet tasty foods. Make it special by planning a different menu from your usual cereals and toast. Be creative with your smoothies.

4. Candlelight dinner
Plan a special menu and cook together. Set up a cosy table with your partner’s favourite dishes (and yours). Have candles, flowers, and the right music playing in the background. Use a special themed table cloth and other accessories.
5. Take a virtual tour
Take an imaginary and exciting tour of a place you wish you could travel to. Have fun and make the most of the experience.
6. View old albums
View your old albums together. These could be non-digital or digital photos. Reminisce and feel those moments again. Where did you first meet? What did you say to each other?
Some famous Valentine’s Day quotes from Brainy Quotes:
“This is love: to fly toward a secret sky, to cause a hundred veils to fall each moment. First to let go of life. Finally, to take a step without feet.” – Rumi
“They invented hugs to let people know you love them without saying anything.” – Bil Keane
“If you have only one smile in you give it to the people you love.” – Maya Angelou
7. For those who are single…
Celebrate by spoiling yourself! There’s no reason why you shouldn’t. Pamper yourself and take care. Valentine’s Day is also for family, kin, pals, and everyone that you trust and value. Although love is a part of daily life, this day is known to be special for celebration.
These stay at home activities I listed in my article are ideas that you can use for inspiration (not an exhaustive list), and build on to find and choose your preferred ones.
Conclusion
Best wishes from my side to you and your close ones. Would you like to leave a comment with your thoughts and experience? If you know someone who should read my blog post, please share it. Thank you!!

These are nice ideas even though I’m not about Valentine because I don’t believe that love showing or appreciation should be restricted to a day. That being said, I think these ideas can be applied when couples just want to spend time together regardless of what day it is.

We stay at home and plan on watching a romantic movie and baking some cookies. We try to avoid movies about travelling and places we want to visit because it only makes us feel sad.

My partner and I love watching movies and TV shows, so that’s exactly how we’ll be spending this Valentine’s Day! It’ll be a lot cheaper than actually going out to the movies anyway.

We don’t celebrate V-day, just seems too commercialized. We much prefer to celebrate spontaneously. Also, I love that you included a pokemon pic in this post!
