Do you sometimes feel that life isn’t fair towards you? You deserve better, but things aren’t turning out as you wish they should. It’s normal to feel down at times… that’s part of life! Read my blog post for tips to brighten up your day.

1. Happiness hormones
Happiness hormones (such as dopamine) help you to feel joyful. Adopt a healthy, physically-active lifestyle that will support you in boosting these great hormones.
2. Sunshine
Make the most of adequate exposure to sunlight. It helps against winter blues and you’ll also benefit from outdoor activities. Prefer to breathe in fresh air.
3. Enough sleep
Proper sleep is essential! Most adults need around 8 hours of sleep daily. Ensure a convenient environment that’s conducive to falling asleep. This includes having no screen time before bedtime, comfortable bedding, room temperature and more…
4. Spa treatment
Go to the spa for a sauna, hammam and/or full-body massage. If you prefer something by yourself and at home, then have a warm foot bath, massage the soles of your feet and apply pressure at the temples.
5. Aromatherapy
Essential oils have a variety of benefits and can be used in different ways. Based on your personal preference, find the right scent for yourself. However, lavender is popular for inducing relaxation.

6. Proper nutrition
Have a healthy, balanced and nutritious diet. It helps you to feel energetic. On the other hand, neglecting to have a good diet will sooner or later entail a variety of issues.
7. Coffee/tea
Are you a coffee or tea lover? I enjoy both but drink tea most of the time. However, an excess of caffeine is not recommended.
8. Chocolate
Dark chocolate can help you feel better. It’s less sweet than milk chocolate. Do control how much you consume.
9. No addiction!
Alcohol is a popular way to unwind and relax. However, when taken in excess, it can cause much regret. Harmful drugs must be avoided! A healthy lifestyle is best.
10. Self-care
Follow a proper daily self-care routine. When you take care of yourself first, then you can feel at your very best to be productive and support your close ones. Incorporate self-care habits into your daily life.
11. Self-love
Self-love and self-care are both primordial. Happiness comes from within… Find it in the simple joys of life!

I have noticed a big difference in my mood depending on the hours of sleep I get each night. When my kids are sick or up for some reason at night and I get a lot less sleep, I am way more prone to anxiety or grumpiness the next day. Thank you for sharing these tips, they are all great!

I love this list! We try to get plenty of outside time, a healthy amount of sleep and I try to use aromatherapy around the house. I love your other suggestions and will start to incorporate them into my routine!
